LogTag TREX-8 USB Temperature Data Logger

The LogTag TREX-8 is a reusable probe temperature logger that records temperature from -40 to +99°C through an external probe. LogTag specifies the TREX-8 at ±0.5°C (-10 to +40°C), ±0.7°C (-30 to -10°C and +40 to +60°C), ±0.8°C (-40 to -30°C and +60 to +80°C), ±1.0°C (+80 to +99°C) accuracy with <0.1°C (-40 to +40°C), <0.2°C (+40 to +80°C), <0.6°C (+80 to +99°C) resolution. Down to -40°C, the TREX-8 covers 2–8°C fridges as well as -20°C freezers. The probe is sT100 series remote sensor, PTFE coaxial cable (not included) on a 1.5 m standard, 3 m extended cable.

Memory holds 8,031 readings with an interval settable from 30 s to 18 h, about 84 days of logging at 15-minute steps. LogTag lists the maximum runtime of the TREX-8 as 53 days at 10 min, 80 days at 15 min logging. Recording on the TREX-8 starts by button, scheduled and time delay. Data from the TREX-8 comes off over USB.

Physically, the TREX-8 has IP61 protection and a sealed, non-replaceable battery. Unstarted TREX-8 units have a shelf life of 1 year storage. In practice the LogTag TREX-8 fits fridges, cold rooms and repeated routes, 2–8°C or frozen.
