About the Tempod 100X
The Tempod 100X is a reusable probe logger for dry ice and ultra-low freezers. An external RTD probe on a 1 m Teflon cable measures from -100 to +70°C at ±0.5°C, with 0.1°C resolution, while the logger body stays outside the cold zone.
Memory holds 28,800 readings at intervals from 1 minute to 2 hours, so a 15-minute interval covers about 300 days. Recording can start manually, automatically or at a set temperature, and up to five alarm ranges are shown on the LCD. Plugging the integrated USB 2.0 connector into a PC produces an automatic PDF report, and TempCentre2 is used for configuration.
The limitation is its lower limit: -100°C covers dry ice and -80°C freezers but not liquid nitrogen, where the Tempod 200X is needed. The battery is replaceable with an 18-month life, and the IATA PI970 II and RTCA DO-160G listings support air freight of dry-ice shipments.
