About the Tempod 200X
The Tempod 200X is a reusable probe logger for cryogenic work. An external RTD probe on a 1 m Teflon cable measures from -200 to +70°C while the logger body stays outside the cold zone. Accuracy is ±0.5°C from -100 to +70°C and ±1.0°C below that, with 0.1°C resolution.
It stores 28,800 readings at intervals from 1 minute to 2 hours and can start manually, automatically or when a set temperature is reached. Up to five alarm ranges show on the LCD, and plugging in the integrated USB 2.0 connector produces an automatic PDF report. TempCentre2 software handles configuration, and the logger is listed as 21 CFR Part 11 capable.
The main limitation is accuracy below -100°C, which widens to ±1.0°C, so check this against your acceptance criteria for liquid-nitrogen work. The battery is replaceable with an 18-month life, and the unit carries IATA PI970 II and RTCA DO-160G listings for air freight of dry-shipper and cryogenic consignments.
