About the Frigga V5D
The Frigga V5D is a single-use real-time temperature logger that connects over 2G using an embedded Vodafone SIM. Data goes to the Frigga Cloud Platform and Frigga Track app, with alerts by SMS, email and app notification. It does not report GPS location.
Its internal Texas Instruments sensor measures -30 to +70°C, with ±0.5°C accuracy between -20 and +40°C and ±1°C outside that band. Memory holds up to 28,800 readings at a 10-minute interval that can be changed from the cloud, and runtime is up to 60 days. Reports export as PDF and CSV, and the LCD shows status on the device.
The limitations: it relies on 2G coverage along the route, it has no location tracking, and 60 days is the maximum runtime. Unstarted units have a 12-month shelf life. It lists RTCA DO-160G and UN38.3 and is IP64 rated, which suits domestic pharma and food shipments that need live temperature alerts.
