About the Sensitech TempTale 4
The Sensitech TempTale 4 is a shipment temperature monitor read through an optical reader rather than a USB plug. Data is downloaded with the Sensitech Interface Plus reader into TempTale Manager Desktop or ColdStream, and reports export as PDF or Excel.
It measures -30 to +70°C. Accuracy is ±0.5°C between -18 and +50°C and widens to ±1.1°C at the ends of the range. Memory comes in 1,920 or 16,000-reading options, and the interval can be set from 10 seconds to 2 hours. It starts by button or time delay and shows programmable high and low alarm status on its LCD.
The key limitation is that the receiver needs the reader and Sensitech software to see the data, so it suits supply chains that already run TempTale readers at receiving points. It has a one-year run life, IP67 (NEMA 6) protection and RTCA DO-160 approval, and is calibrated at three set points to NIST-traceable standards.
