About the Tempod 90S
The Tempod 90S is a single-use logger rated down to -90°C, so it can travel inside a dry-ice shipment without an external probe. Its internal RTD sensor measures -90 to +70°C, with ±0.5°C accuracy between -30 and +30°C and ±0.7°C outside that band.
Memory holds 28,800 readings at intervals from 1 minute to 2 hours, and recording starts manually or automatically. Up to five alarm ranges show on the LCD, and the integrated USB 2.0 connector produces an automatic PDF report. Unstarted units have a 24-month shelf life.
The important limitation is battery life: the 3.6 V lithium battery is rated for 30 days at logging intervals of 5 minutes or longer, so it is meant for single shipments of about a month, not long storage. With IATA PI970 II and RTCA DO-160G listed and a NIST-traceable 3-point calibration, it suits one-way dry-ice and frozen pharma consignments.
