About the LogTag TRIL-8
The LogTag TRIL-8 is a reusable USB temperature logger that records temperature from -80 to +40°C. LogTag specifies the TRIL-8 at ±1°C (-30 to +20°C), ±1.2°C (-45 to -30°C and +20 to +40°C), ±1.7°C (-80 to -45°C) accuracy with <0.1°C (-80 to 0°C), <0.2°C (0 to +20°C), <0.5°C (+20 to +40°C) resolution. A lower limit of -80°C puts dry ice and -80°C freezers within reach of the TRIL-8.
Memory holds 8,031 readings with an interval settable from 1 min to several hours, about 84 days of logging at 15-minute steps. LogTag lists the maximum runtime of the TRIL-8 as 53 days at 10 min, 80 days at 15 min logging; up to 1000 h cumulative at -80°C. Recording on the TRIL-8 starts by button, time delay and scheduled.
Physically, the TRIL-8 has IP65 protection and a sealed, non-replaceable battery. Unstarted TRIL-8 units have a shelf life of up to 12 months before start (hibernation). In practice the LogTag TRIL-8 fits dry ice, -80°C freezers and frozen shipments.
